Earlier, I have shared the best JavaScript courses for beginners and in this article, I am going to review one of my favorite JavaScript courses, The Complete JavaScript Course 2024: Build Real Projects from Udemy. This is one of the truly best and up-to-date courses to learn modern JavaScript in a hands-on way with building projects and applying the knowledge you learn in theory lectures.

The combination of their and practice makes this course awesome but there are many more reasons to join this course which you will find in this article. A good JavaScript online course will help you a lot in your journey to making websites using this awesome programming language.

JavaScript will make your web development easier because of its simplicity and implementation as well as its speed since this language is running immediately on the client-side browser and more than that it will make your website more interactive and make a better user experience.

JavaScript has taken a pretty much role in web development since its creating back in 1995 and many developers have made it something mandatory thing to learn for their web development journey.

A study published by StackOverflow showed that this programming language is the most popular one in almost the last seven years. The language can be used to develop the front-end as well as the back-end using many JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js and Epress.js and many other available frameworks.

While I growing the Udemy platform for the best and completing courses to learn the fundamentals of this language as well as building some really amazing projects I’ve found one called The Complete JavaScript Course 2024 and I’ve thought why I don’t do a review for this amazing course?

My Review of The Complete JavaScript Course 2024: Build Real Projects Course on Udemy

Without wasting any more of your time, here is my review of one of the best JavaScript courses not just on Udemy but also on the internet. I have reviewed this course on three main parameters, instructor quality and reputation, the structure of course and content, and people's review so that you can not just get my point of view about this course but also many others who have learned JavaScript from this course.

1. The Instructor Reputation [Jonas Schmedtmann]

This course is created by Jonas Schmedtmann, a full-stack web developer as well as a designer who start building apps early in 2007 with a master’s degree in engineering. Jonas has in-depth knowledge of not just JavaScript but also every other area of web development and web design, and what makes him unique is his teaching style and blending theory with practice.

It's no surprise that with over 900k student enrollment, Jonas Schmedtmann is considered one of the best Udemy instructors and he is considered the best of the best on Udemy. He also has over 5 courses in web development and JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js and Express for building the back-end of the website.

I also suggest you watch previews of his course on Udemy before you join, this is my litmus test before joining any Udemy course, If you can watch previews without getting bored or forwarding or skipping then it's a good chance that you are connecting with the instructor.

Choosing a good course is more often than not choosing a good instructor and at this point, Jonas and this course score a perfect 10.

2. The Course Content and Structure

This amazing course as the tile said is targeting all levels especially the beginner of JavaScript and it contains 32 sections with over 94 hours of video content. So let’s summarize the course content and what you expect to get after enrolling in this course:

2.1. JavaScript Fundamentals
As the name tells, you will learn the fundamentals of the JavaScript language in two sections starting by creating your very first Hello World little program and linking a JavaScript file, variables, data types, function declaration and with many coding challenges to test your knowledge before jumping to the next section.

2.2. HTML & CSS Crash Course
You will end up also learning the fundamentals of web development which are the two HTML & CSS languages to build the web pages.

This is a mandatory thing if you want to learn how to use JavaScript in your web development projects. If you have some previous knowledge of those two languages then feel free to skip this section.

2.3. How JavaScript Runs Behind The Scene
This section is almost lost in most of the JavaScript courses if we couldn’t tell all of them because you will understand this language better if you know how the code runs in the browser behind the scene

2.4. Advanced In JavaScript
You will deep dive into more JavaScript functions and techniques such as restructuring arrays and objects, enhanced object literals, callback functions, more about arrays, numbers, dates, timers, and much more just to name a few.

2.5. OOP In JavaScript
Object-oriented programming is a way of programming that lets you create many different objects from a common object. You will learn in this section, prototypes, inheritance, setters and getters, encapsulation, and much more with some coding challenges as well.

2.6. Asynchronous In JavaScript
This section will teach you the Asynchronous in JavaScript such as creating your very first AJAX Call, callback hell, promises, Asynchronous behind the scene, error handling with try… catch, running promises in parallel, and more.

2.7. Forkify App Project
After learning so much about JavaScript you will try in this section to build an app called Forkify which is an online website or service that can search recipes, create a shopping list, and serve your favorite and deploy the web project on Netlify cloud service.

3. People Review

With over 835,800 students enrollment and a 4.7 rating score of 87K people, I can only that this course is the most complete one among the other courses and you should take it if you are intending to learn in-depth JavaScript.

The good thing is that there are many coding challenges in almost every section of the course and people in the review section are very satisfied and love the course content and videos which mean you are in good hand you pay for this course.
